Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Schumm graduated from Mt. San Antonio College with an emphasis in Chemistry and Physics. After completing military service, he continued his education at the University of California at Riverside earning a degree and doing graduate work in Biological Sciences. Dr. Schumm received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of California at Los Angeles where he was elected by the faculty to the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honorary Dental Society, the highest honor bestowed on the nation’s top dental graduates.

Having practiced in the Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach area for many years, Dr. Schumm has achieved the status of Life Member in the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society.

When he is not in the office or attending continuing education courses, Dr. Schumm likes to spend time with his lovely wife and their son. For recreation Dr. Schumm enjoys diving, riding his mountain bike, hiking, backpacking and basic mountaineering.
