Marilyn graduated from Long Beach Valley College and continued her education at Cerritos College where she earned her licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant as well as certification in coronal polishing and x-ray license. She also holds a CPR certificate.
Marilyn is an active member in the American Dental Assistants Association and the Orange County Dental Assistants Association. Marilyn has always enjoyed caring for and helping others, so her choice of a career in dentistry was a natural for her and has given her much satisfaction. She always puts patients first, treating them how she would want to be treated- a characteristic common amongst all team members. Marilyn was Dr. Schumm’s chairside assistant for over 20 years before becoming the office manager. She often sees patients at various locations in the community and enjoys saying hello.
Marilyn and her husband live in Huntington Beach and enjoy traveling in their motorhome and entertaining friends. She finds many different kinds of crafts interesting and enjoyable, including her current passion for scrapbooking, as well as teaching herself knitting.
She spends her days off with her husband and two children, Diego and Daphne and their new puppy Levi.
Michelle studied her general education at the University of Hawaii. Upon completion, she studied Dental Hygiene at San Joaquin Valley College, recently furthering her education at the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry. Michelle recently completed her studies for licensure as an RDH in Alternative Practice and is licensed by California to perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planings, local anesthetic, subgingival curettage, nitrous oxide, and radiographs. She is also certified to perform CPR.
Michelle is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association, the California Dental Hygiene Association, and the Orange County Dental Hygiene Association. “Our practice is family-oriented. We make sure our patients receive the utmost quality care they deserve. All the employees make it a team effort every day we come to work. I am truly blessed to be in a wonderful office,” says Michelle. She also enjoys the outdoors, her family, friends, and her dog Khalua.
Peggy graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Cerritos College in 1993. Her licensure includes the Expanded Functions of local anesthesia, nitrous oxide sedation, and gingival curettage. Peggy has been working with Dr. Schumm’s office for 20 years now and says “I love how the office is so patient-centered, with providing the care that our patients truly need being our primary focus.”
Outside of work, Peggy keeps very busy with her amazing husband, two wonderful kids and their Maltese puppy Mac. Together they enjoy going to the beach, off-road racing, and lots of dirt biking. She also dedicates herself to her kids’ schools and sports, their church, and loves rubber stamping.
